The Kitchen Remodeling Journey: Fixtures and Finishes

Home » The Kitchen Remodeling Journey: Fixtures and Finishes

For me, the fun part of a kitchen remodel – or any remodel for that matter – is picking out the pretty stuff. The hardware, the lighting, the countertops. The stuff that makes the space unique. So I enjoyed the process of picking out the details and letting Drew handle the details of how to make it all work!

Our designer, Erin, was really helpful in sourcing the details and getting discounts that we wouldn’t have been able to get ourselves. So when you look out what we picked out below, remember the prices you see aren’t what we paid!

Here are some sources she sent me to for finding great things. I’ve included what we picked out as well.

Hardware

We loved Rejuvenation and went with the Massey Collection for knobs and the Mission Collection for Pulls in Unlacquered Brass.

We also loved House of Antique Hardware but ultimately found what we wanted from Rejuvenation. Still worth a mention!

We have also gotten some great hardware in the past off Amazon like these for our laundry room.

Lighting

We love The Light House in our hometown of Decatur, Alabama and have gotten several things from there, including our lighting for our home office.

With the kitchen remodel, Erin was able to point us to Visual Comfort for lighting. We got a great discount buying open box options and utilizing her designer discount.

We went with the Elliot Grande Pendant to go over our dining room table, the Katie Large Globe Pendants in hand rubbed antique brass for the Island, and the Bryant Sconce in bronze to flank the range.

We also looked at some good options at Capital Lighting and I have always loved what Jean Stoffer has in lighting.

Faucet

We looked at House of Rohl and Newport Brass for faucet options. We were able to find what we wanted and get it from a local supplier, Kenny Pipe. (The faucet hasn’t been installed yet, so stay tuned for updates!)

To note, we were able to get this for significantly less with Erin’s discount and getting through our local supplier.

Kenny Pipe was also the source of our sink.

We will cover our countertop and flooring in upcoming posts!
