There’s no shortage of incredible dining options in New York City—arguably thousands of restaurants spanning every cuisine imaginable. And yet, every time we find ourselves in the city, we keep coming back to the same place: Becco.

Tucked along Restaurant Row on West 46th Street, Becco has been part of our family’s NYC story for over 20 years. In a city that’s constantly changing, there’s something deeply comforting about returning to a place that consistently delivers—great food, warm atmosphere, and a sense of tradition.

It has been the choice for date night and pre NYC Marathon Pasta dinners. We’ve grown from a family of four to five with Becco, our youngest having enjoyed the cuisine three times- once in utero!

A Perfect Pre- or Post-Theater Spot
Becco’s location makes it an ideal stop before or after a Broadway show. The energy of the Theater District spills right into the restaurant, creating a lively but welcoming environment. It’s a short walk from Time Square, yet it feels like it is tucked into a quaint neighborhood. Whether you’re fueling up before curtain call or winding down after a performance, it just fits.

Classic Italian That Keeps You Coming Back
At its heart, Becco is about classic Italian cooking done right. The standout—and what keeps us hooked year after year—is the famous Sinfonia di Paste: the daily trio of chef-selected pastas, served unlimited.

It’s simple, satisfying, and always a hit. Mom and dad never hesitate—we go straight for the daily pasta. There’s something fun about not knowing exactly what you’ll get, but trusting it will be delicious. Add to it the caesar salad that comes with the pasta and you won’t be disappointed. It’s consistently the best caesar salad we’ve ever had.
Meanwhile, the kids? They’ve found their favorites and stick to them: spaghetti and fettuccine alfredo, done exactly the way they like.
.
The Little Things Matter
Before the pasta even hits the table, the bread service sets the tone. Fresh bread paired with olives and hummus is a small detail—but an outstanding one. It’s the kind of start that reminds you you’re in for a good meal.
And then there’s an entirely Italian wine list. We still remember when bottles were $25 across the board. These days, it’s $45, but the value is still there, especially considering the quality and the experience.

Why We Keep Coming Back
In a city that constantly tempts you to try somewhere new, Becco has earned our loyalty. It’s not just about the food—it’s about the memories. Two decades of pre-show dinners, fueling for races, family laughs, and shared plates of pasta.
Becco isn’t trying to reinvent Italian cuisine. It doesn’t need to. It simply does what it’s always done—consistently, warmly, and well.
And that’s exactly why, no matter how many new places open in NYC, we keep coming back.
