Next up in the Greenwood house reveal: bedrooms and bathrooms!

Wallpaper may be in but peeling wallpaper from the 1960s – not so much. Remember this?

The first thing that needed to be done to the Greenwood bedrooms was that wallpaper had to go.  We learned how to remove it and painted the walls and trim all a consistent neutral.  Hardwood floors went down throughout in keeping with the rest of the house and all light fixtures were updated.

The hall bath that these bedrooms will use, was well, kind of a functional disaster.  One sink instead of two occupied the space and the vanity was cut at the corner to allow the door to open and close! The bathtub was gross.

We gutted it all adding a new vanity with dual sinks, a new toilet and tub and tiled the space.  We changed out the linen closet door so it wouldn’t continue to open into the space creating a logistical nightmare.  Of course, the room was painted and new fixtures were added.

Our design of these spaces had families in mind.  The smallest bedroom would be perfect for a nursery or home office.  The other bedroom is spacious with lots of natural light.  And the bathroom can function for kids and/or guests.
